Tim first got interested in thinking skills as a class teacher in 1989 and then as a headteacher spent 8 years transforming an inner-city school into a thinking organisation. Learning how to learn and thinking have always been central to his educational philosophy and he continues his professional interests in education as an Interim Headteacher and freelance academic whilst sharing his passion for thinking across the public sector. He holds a drinkers thinkers degree in Theology (Manchester University), an MA in Educational Management (Open University) and a PhD in School Leadership (Liverpool University). He is also a founding director of ai consulting ltd, which works in the public sector specializing in positive service-user engagement and organisational development through Appreciative Inquiry.
